Noah's work is concerned with giving function a form; 'a chair is to be sat on after all'. Through imagination and craftsmanship, Noah creates unusual and distinctive forms with characters of their own.
The starting point is often a re-imaging or subversion of a pre-made, often ‘found’ component; an old wheel or implement for example, that then finds a new, integrated identity when worked together with bespoke forged and/or machined parts.
The end ‘character’ of the work is often suggestive of a ‘personality’ or ‘avatar’. Each piece is one-off, occupying its own position in Noah's personal ‘pantheon’. .
